Here's what some of my students and I have been up to recently (and semi-recently):
 
Amy Miles is playing Chris and Abby Miles is playing Cassie in the Woodland High School Production of "Rumors" from October 20 - November 1.

Abby Miles is in the Davis Musical Theater Production of "High School Musical" from September 16 - October 9.

Emily Kelly is playing Rosie in the Sutter Street Theater Production of "Cabaret" from September 2 - October 16.

I performed with the Sacramento Women's Chorus at the Sacramento Race for the Arts in Land Park in August.

Kendyl Ito performed as a finalist in the "A World of Talent Musical Scholarship Program" held at the 7th Annual International Food Fair at the Folsom Community Center in August.

Emily Kelly played Mrs. Lovett and Kendyl Ito was in the ensemble of Runaway Stage Productions' "Sweeney Todd, School Edition" in July.

Andrea St. Clair played Christine Colgate in the Runaway Stage production of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" in May.

Sean Nill and Ruby Brungess were in the Found Space Theater production of "At the Ballet II -- Louder, Faster, Funnier!", at the Sacramento Ballet Studio in May.

Ethan Glass sang with the American River College Concert Choir in their end of season concert in May.

Amy Miles played Ursula Merkle in Woodland High School Production of "Bye Bye Birdie" in April/May.

Kendyl Ito played Sandy in "Grease" at CK McClatchy High School in March/April.

Abby Miles played Luisa Von Trapp in "The Sound of Music" at the Woodland Opera House in March/April.

Andrea St. Clair played Hope Cladwell in the Runaway Stage Production of "Urinetown" in March.

Ethan Glass sang with the American River College Concert Choir in their March concert.

Lindsay Nevin played Cobweb in "A Midsummer Night's Dream (family version)" at Fairytale Town Theater in February.

Emily Kelly played Luisa in the Sutter Street Theatre Production of "The Fantasticks" in January/February.

I organized a recital featuring Emily Kelly, Ruby Brungess and Ray Fisher at the Sutter Street Theatre in Folsom in January!
 
2010
 
Abby Miles was a narrator in the Davis Musical Theater production of "Aladdin Jr." in November/December.

Emily Kelly was in the Ensemble of The Runaway Stage Production of "The Wiz" in November.

Amy Miles played Crystal in "Little Shop of Horrors" at Woodland High Schoolin November.

Emily Kelly performed in "Best of Broadway" at Bella Vista High School in November.

Amy Miles played Sandy in "Grease, School Version" at Davis Musical Theater company, and Abby Miles played the teen angel in September/October.

Emily Kelly played Mayzie in "Seussical the Musical" at Sutter St. Theater in September/October.

Emily Kelly played Maureen in "Rent, School Edition" at Runaway Stage Productions in September.

Kendyl Ito played Belle and Amy Miles played Mrs. Potts in the Davis Musical Theater production of "Beauty and the Beast, Jr." in August.

Andrea St. Clair played Niki Harris in Runaway Stage Productions' "Curtains" in July.

Ruby Brungess played Elaine in the Studio Theater Production of "The Graduate" in July.

Ali Weaver and Amy Miles were both in "Guys and Dolls" at Woodland High School in May.

Derek Sup performed as part of "Small Ensemble Night" at Rio Americano High School in April. This included leading his entire music class in his arrangement of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody"!
 
2009
 
Emily Kelly played Eponine in "Les Miserables, School Edition" in September.

Ali Weaver performed in "High School Musical 2" at Woodland Opera House in August/September.

Karen Day played the Queen in the Runaway Stage Production of "Cinderella" in May.

Karen Day played Marmee in the Runaway Stage Production of "Little Women" in March.

Andrea St. Clair played the narrator in the Woodland Opera House Production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" in March.
 
2008
 
Andrea St. Clair attended a prestigious musical theater summer training program at NYU. She also performed in "Monday Nights New Voices" in New York, a showcase for up and coming performers, some of whom have performed on Broadway! We're so proud of you, Andrea...

Kiana Bruce sang the soprano solo to "Kyrie" with her church choir, and also performed "You Raise Me Up" as an a capella solo at her church in June and July. She also just turned 11!

Andrea St. Clair, Karen Day and Emily Kelly were in the Runaway Stage Production of "Thoroughly Modern Millie" in May. Andrea was Millie, Karen was Mrs. Meers (the villain), and Emily (playing an adult role) was the only teenager among a cast of adults!

Scott Reese played Tommy in the Woodland Opera House production of "Brigadoon" in March and April.

Andrea St. Clair played Miss Sandra in Runaway Stage Productions' "All Shook Up" in January.
 
2007
 
Kiana Bruce sang the first verse of "Silent Night" as a solo at her church in December.

Chris Hansen played Howie the Milkman in his High school's production of "Our Town" in November.

Betsy Tanner sang "Tide pool Condos" in her class play in November. She got to play the villain!

Emily Kelly was a "Bird Girl" in Runaway Stage Productions' "Seussical the Musical Jr." in November.

Miss Betsy Tanner sang a solo from the song "Recipe For Joy" in her class pageant at Gold River Discovery Center in May.

Ray Fisher played Jud Fry in The Runaway Stage Production of "Oklahoma" in May.

Andrea St. Clair and Scott Reese were in Runaway Stage's Production of "Smokey Joe's Cafe" in March.
 
2006
 
Ray Fisher was Daddy Warbucks in "Annie", also put on by Runaway Stage, in November. Andrea St. Clair played Grace Farrell, Emily Kelly was July and Scott Reese was Bundles McClusky. Both Emily and Scott were students of Ray's at the time, recently referred to me.

Andrea St. Clair played Milly and Scott Reese played Adam in Runaway Stage's Production of "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" in July.

Andrea St. Clair played Antonia in the Woodland Opera House production of "Man of La Mancha" in March and April.

Courtney Foston played the Queen in "Once Upon a Mattress" at El Camino High School, Sacramento in March.

I performed with Vox Musica and the Auris Ensemble at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Sacramento in April.
 
2005
 
Andrea St. Clair was in the Woodland Opera House production of "She Loves Me" in October and November.

Gloria Stingily was in the Sacramento Theatre Company's mainstage production of "A Raisin in the Sun" in October.

Andrea St. Clair played Lady Larken in the Woodland Opera House production of "Once Upon a Mattress" in April and May.

Gloria Stingily played Lolli Ndiaye in the B Street Theatre's Children's Theatre of California production of "The Beggars Strike" in February and March.
 
2004
 
My husband and I moved from San Francisco to Rancho Cordova (just outside of Sacramento) at the end of December.

My sweetie and I got married on September 25!
